The fresh face of an age-old educational philosophy

Charlotte Mason was a revolutionary British educationalist in the late 19th century, who stood on the shoulders of giants and pioneered a new way for children to learn. The early 1980s saw a resurgence of her work within the American homeschooling movement, and this has since spread all around the world. In this session, we will explore what makes Mason’s philosophy a stand-out movement that is still relevant today, as well as offering tools to implement her methods in the classroom or at home.

Leah Boden is long-time home educator of her four children. With a background in youth and children’s work for the LEA as well as various charities, she has taken to the page and the stage in recent years with her knowledge and passion to weave Charlotte Mason’s educational wisdom into the 21st century home. Leah writes, speaks, podcasts, hosts coaching sessions, and runs workshops sharing the beauty of a Charlotte Mason approach to childhood, motherhood, and education. She is the author of the upcoming book Modern Miss Mason, launching January 2023 with Tyndale Momentum.
