The need for a new Human-Centered Education
This session will make the evidence-based case for a grassroots progressive revolution in education, rooted in empowering individual educators through teacher action research and creative noncompliance while developing a toolkit for understanding and organising sustained, systemic change.
Bio
Nick Covington and Chris McNutt are the co-founders of the Human Restoration Project, a progressive education non-profit dedicated to radically student-centered classrooms. Before founding HRP, Nick taught high school social studies for 10 years; Chris is a former social studies and digital design instructor.
