Why do we need interdisciplinary learning at a school level?

This webinar explores the importance of interdisciplinary (ID) learning within our education system. In a world faced by ever more complex problems, it's never been more important to find new ways of thinking and doing. This session will explore three reasons why we think we need ID learning at a school level and the work we have been doing at the London Interdisciplinary School (LIS) to better prepare our undergraduates for the world of work.

Ella studied Geography at the University of Exeter, before doing her MA in Education and Leadership at UCL. After graduating, Ella completed the Teach First Graduate Programme. She taught in an inner-London secondary school for 4 years as Head of Geography. She then moved to New York City where she was Head of Humanities at the British International School. At LIS, Ella leads the Schools' team, visiting schools across the country to introduce them to the concept of interdisciplinary learning and the curriculum we're building at LIS.
