“I don’t want to go to school”: A mother’s journey

A presentation about a mother’s journey navigating the education system and everyday life with a child who can’t go to school. Using Eliza Fricker’s wry and detailed illustrations, this talk provides insight to both parents and professionals wanting to hear the story and experiences from the author of Missing The Mark.

Eliza is an illustrator, author and mother. Her first book The Family Experience of PDA: An Illustrated Guide to Pathological Demand Avoidance was published Nov 2021 by Jessica Kingsley Publishers. Deceptively simple illustrations give way to endearingly perceptive and detailed observations, which are often irreverently humorous and highly emotional.
