Getting Ready For Work
Adrian Lyons, an HMI for over 16 years, was Ofsted’s national lead for business and enterprise and led a major survey around enterprise education in secondary school, evaluating how well schools prepare young people for the world of work. In this session, Adrian will argue that preparation for work should not be the only goal of an education system, but it should certainly be part of it.
Bio
Adrian Lyons FRSA was one of Her Majesty’s Inspectors of Education for over 16 years. For more than six of those he was Ofsted’s national lead for economics, business and enterprise. He is now a consultant working with several multi-academy trusts, providers of initial teacher education/ training and the Edge Foundation.
